State Lawmakers Discuss Budget During Breakfast

The main topic was the budget, which is always a priority for the lawmakers, but this session, the ongoing water crisis is on everyone's mind.

Now politicians are vowing to take action on a regulatory bill to prevent chemical-related disasters.

"Our mind as well as the governor's and I'm sure the speaker's and all the members of the Legislature, our upmost focus is to focus on a regulatory oversight program that will prevent and close any loop holes that exist that permitted this type of leak to occur and to insure that this never happens again," West Virginia Senate President Jeff Kessler said.
